Hello and welcome to the 49 Degrees North Spotlight, a look back at classic episodes from the 49 Degrees North writers podcast about Canadian writers and the business of writing.

In this episode, I spoke with legendary writer/creator and all around nice guy Dennis Heaton (Ghost Wars, Motive) about Ghost Wars, the origins of Fido, and why we should be making short-films and web-series.

Dennis shares a lot of great advice for other writers in this episode, and again emphasizes that it doesn’t hurt to produce your own stories, rather than waiting for someone else to produce them for you! Inspiring and educational, this is another great episode to dive into.
