Sometimes you want to read something short. You have a precious few minutes where you can read something, but you don’t want to jump into your novel, as you know you’ll have to re-read that section again later.

You can always scroll around on social media, but what if there was another option? –

  • What if you had a book of short horror stories that would scratch that itch? What if each story was so short, it fit onto a single page?
  • What if you could read them in any order – just open the book and dive in?
  • What if you could carry the book easily in your pocket or purse?

Look no further because THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU!

This is a collection of horror and dark fiction drabbles that run the gamut from the darkly humorous to the disturbing. A drabble is a small but mighty 100-word story. No more. No less. Don’t be fooled, just because these stories are short, doesn’t mean they don’t pack a punch.

I’ve always been drawn to horror and dark fiction. There’s just something special about the genre that resonates with me. My favourite books to read as a kid were all horror ones, particularly anthologies. I loved how the stories were often short, but still packed a horrifying punch, often with a nasty twist or surprise at the end.

Anthologies were a great way to read a variety of different tones, perspectives, and structures in a single book, and often exposed me to other writers who I’d never normally be aware of. As I began to create my own stories, the idea of a horror anthology was always in the back of my mind. That’s why I created Sweet Delicious Candy.

It’s a collection of short horror tales in a format that can be digested in one go. It’s full of horror, suspense and hopefully a few surprises, and best of all – it fits right into your pocket so you can read it on the go.
